BOARD OF DIRECTORS
HOLCIM (US) Inc.

Holcim Inc. is the largest supplier of cement and related mineral
components in the United States. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Holderbank Financiere Glaris Ltd. of Switzerland, the world's
leading producer of cement and related construction materials. The
company is headquartered in Dundee, Michigan.
Today, Holcim has a nationwide presence in the U.S. cement industry
with 14 manufacturing facilities and over 70 distribution terminals.
As the nation's market share leader, Holcim has the ability to supply
approximately 15 million metric tons of cement and related materials
annually.
In 1993, Holcim and a partner acquired the BoxCrow cement plant
in Midlothian. The next year, as the U.S. construction activity
began its dramatic rise, a study was initiated to determine what
facilities would be needed to help maintain the supply/demand balance
of cementitious products nationally.
As a result of this study, in 1998, Holcim began construction of
a second production line at Midlothian in Ellis County. Recently
completed, the plant can produce in excess of 2.2 million metric
tons of cement each year. The load-out capacity has been doubled
as well, and construction of additional storage has begun.
Holcim's 2,500 employees, our customers and the general public
can depend on our continued focus on these issues.
Other facilities in Texas include terminals in Galena Park, Lubbock
and Chanelview and a silo ship in Galveston.
